Cauliflower Manchurian
This is my own recipe. It is really easy to make. It takes 10 minutes to prepare and 30 minutes to cook. The ingredients I used are:
1 small cauliflower, cut into florets
1 red pepper, finely diced
1 onion, finely diced
3 garlic cloves, chopped
2 green chillies, finely chopped
Thumb size ginger, crushed
2 tbsp vegetable oil
For the batter:
200g gram flour
100ml water
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp red chilli powder
For the sauce:
2 tbsp soy sauce
4 tbsp Sriracha
For garnish:
Sesame seeds
Spring onion
Method:
Add water, turmeric and red chilli powder to the gram flour, mix well and toss the cauliflower in. Deep fry until crispy. I’d recommend double dipping for crispier cauliflower!
Add 2 tbsp vegetable oil to a pan on medium heat followed by the onions and let it cook for 3 minutes.
Toss the ginger, garlic and chillies in and let them cook for 1 minute before adding the peppers.
Add the soy sauce and sriracha and stir well. Let it cook for 2 minutes.
Toss the cauliflower in the pan for 1 minute.
Serve a generous portion with rice and garnish with spring onion and sesame seeds
