I was inspired by Dishoom's cookery book recipe.

It takes 5 minutes to prepare and 30 minutes to cook. The ingredients I used are:

  • 300g onion-tomato masala

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • 30g tomato puree

  • ⅓ tsp sugar

  • ⅓ tsp garam masala

  • ¼ tsp ground cumin

  • 100g frozen peas

  • 200g paneer, cut in cubes

  • 50ml yoghurt and 25ml milk*

Steps:

  • Add the onion-tomato masala to a pan on medium heat. Let it cook for 2 minutes then add salt, tomato puree, sugar, garam masala and ground cumin. Let it cook for 10 minutes.

  • Add frozen peas and 120ml water to the pan and let it cook for 5 minutes stirring occasionally.

  • Gently add the paneer and stir everything. Let it cook for 10 minutes.

  • Add yoghurt and milk. Mix everything and let it simmer for 5 minutes.

  • Remove from heat and garnish with fresh corriander. Serve with rice or roti. Enjoy!

* Double cream can be used instead of yoghurt and milk
