Gluten Free lamb koftas

This is my own recipe. It is quite easy to make. It takes 20 minutes to prepare and 25 minutes to cook. The ingredients I used are:

  • 400g minced lamb (this will lead to 12 koftas)

  • Handful of fresh coriander, chopped

  • 1/2 brown onion, diced

  • 3 tsp ground cumin

  • 1 tsp red chilli powder

  • 2 tsp crushed ginger and garlic paste

  • 2 tsp ground turmeric

  • 50g gluten free bread crumbs

  • 2 egg yolks

  • Salt

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Method:

  1. Add the minced lamb, onion, ground cumin, coriander, red chilli powder, ground turmeric, ginger and garlic paste, bread crumbs and egg yolks to a large bowl. Mix until smooth. Season with salt and roll into 12 equal balls.

  2. Add the olive oil to a large pan on medium heat.

  3. Add the koftas in and let them cook for 25 minutes, gently turning them occasionally to ensure they are properly cooked.

  4. Garnish with fresh coriander and enjoy with a mint chutney.
